12/01/12: Copyright: Following a two day bench trial in Corpus Christi David Showalter obtained a judgment on behalf of two former members of Kumbia Kings against A.B. Quintanilla, III (brother of slain Tejano idol Selena.) The judgment found the existence of fraud and breach of duty by Quintanilla. Damages in the judgment, plus attorney's fees and interest and court costs exceeded $1,000,000.

12/01/12: Family Trust Mismanagement: The Showalter law firm negotiated a significant settlement arising from mismanagement of a family trust. The claim alleged breach of fiduciary duty and fraud. As part of the settlement the trust was terminated and substantial assets were distributed to the beneficiaries who were harmed by the misconduct.
